I'm a Learner 3344 M&W

I like to think I'm a bit of both as far as intrinsic or extrinsic learners go. I keep in mind that once I accomplish my goal of becoming a teacher I will feel great for succeeding in attaining a goal I set for myself. I also keep my eye on the prize (Degree) as well as knowing the monetary benefits of becoming an educator. Some people will be quick to say that educators don't make as much money as they deserve. I've got two things to say about that: 1. Being an educator is its own reward and 2. What educators earn is more than I need to survive.

I am a visual and audible learner. I use one to enforce the other. I find that I when introduced to new information in the visual way and audible way I retain more of the material. My motivations keep me driven to succeed in goals I set for myself and that is why I use more than one method of information retention. I'm sure I'm not the only one who implores more than one method by choice. I will learn as much about myself as a learner as I will about the students I teach. That in it self is a gift.

In my MI survey I learned that I have a pretty good grasp on my Interpersonal and Intrapersonal facets of my life. That helps me sleep pretty good at night. I was a little surprised about how low I scored in the verbal section. I considered myself a pretty verbal person. All in all the survey would be an awesome tool to gauge your students learning methods to design a lesson according to results. I will definitely check out some more of these types of surveys, I'm hooked.

  1. Hey yea I do belive that one learns from experinces and sometimes when people go through things they learn something new and add more knowledge to the information they already experince.
